Gene Vincent - Studio Recordings
During his lifetime, Gene Vincent released 27 singles on Capitol and 13 LP's. In relation to this, he had little success:
6 hits in the US Billbord Hot 100. His "Be-Bop-A-Lula", which is still strong today, only reached number 7.
Gene, called "the screaming kid", was the pioneer of rock-a-billy and a role model for the prototype of the rocker and outsider.
He was never able to build on the successes of the 1950s, but gained attention in the late 1960s in France.
